About Us:
Fruition Recruitment is a Geelong based, and Geelong exclusive, boutique recruitment firm that specialises in talent acquisition, executive search and talent advisory. With a reputation for providing industry leading results, Fruition works hard to provide a fresh alternative to transactional sales-driven agencies and is a business that clients love working with and candidates trust. We are working on this vacancy on behalf of our client.

About our Client:
Our client is a leading retailer with a number of locations across Victoria, and they know their people, their offering and their customers are their defining point of difference. The next couple of years is gearing up to be incredibly exciting as they embark on some transformational projects that will see them significantly investing in their team, the customer journey and technology. In line with this, and with an enviable internal culture, supportive management and a bright future, they now require a skilled Service Delivery Technician to join the team.

About the Culture:
This working environment is one of the best out there. Collaborative, supportive, friendly, trusting and engaging. On one hand the environment is relaxed, casual, down to earth and fun, but on the other, business activity is fast paced and agile with an accompanying growth mindset. Here you’ll find loads of well humoured office banter, celebrating success and Friday drinks. Everyone is respectful and well intentioned, and there is a genuine focus on internal promotion and continuous learning where self improvement and development is both encouraged and celebrated.

About the Opportunity:
Aiming to reduce impacts to the retail network, you’ll receive IT helpdesk calls, triage issues and manage resolutions effectively and efficiently in line with service level targets via a ticketing system, phone or Microsoft Teams, escalating issues as required internally or externally. Monitoring internal system incident tools to ensure availability of systems and data, you’ll also continually improve levels and quality of support by developing knowledge base articles, improving and implementing processes and enabling automation through tools. You’ll provide wide ranging IT support to both internal and external customers, as well as provide phone based support with facilities management across the retail network (logging issues, booking and coordinating trades for break-fix and service work across refrigeration, electrical, plumbing etc.). You’ll learn the retail system technology, systems, infrastructure, software and associated business processes, and be able to provide excellent support to end users. Working with a highly skilled team, you’ll have the opportunity to learn many different skills in cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, systems administration and software development. Also assisting with IT improvement projects, this is not your ordinary support role. This position will provide you with a strong skill set across a broad range of technology where you’ll get exposure across the entire business and grow skills well beyond a standard support position. Your career progression will look less like climbing a ladder and more like a continuous flow of exciting, meaningful opportunities that facilitate personal development and technical mastery.

About You:
Complemented by a Bachelor in Computer Science (or equivalent), and with proven and prior experience in a similar role (ideally within a retail business, using a ticketing system and with POS knowledge), you’ll enjoy troubleshooting and problem solving. As someone who strives for open and honest communication with respect for others, you’re keen to learn about new platforms and technologies, and have a continuous improvement mindset. With sound knowledge and experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems, you’ll be skilled in building and configuring Windows based PC’s, laptops and NUC’s. Furthermore, you’ll have a solid understanding of productivity tools in Office 365 and you’ll have operating experience with Unix and be comfortable with CLI’s. Able to demonstrate a basis understanding of TCP/ IP networking, further experience with PowerShell, SQL or other scripting languages would be ideal. Skilled in communicating with a range of key stakeholders, from front line staff to C-level executives, you’ll have experience in a customer focussed, fast changing and new technology driven environment. With a high level of systems and process acumen, you have an intelligent and energetic approach to tasks, you’ll be team oriented and have a ‘can do attitude’. Proactive and forward thinking, you’ll have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and to multitask. With strong attention to detail, you’ll be action oriented, a self starter and able to make sound decisions. Proactive and able to get things done, you’ll also be reliable and flexible. Any experience, exposure to or skills in cybersecurity or understanding cybersecurity standards would be highly regarded, as would any experience working in service delivery under ITIL methods.

About the Perks:
In this role, you will join a supportive and collaborative team and receive in-house training, flexible working conditions (allowing some work from home), ongoing professional development opportunities and a competitive remuneration package. With a high level of autonomy and responsibility, you’ll be problem solving real business challenges and be able to develop and grow your IT experience. Please note, out of hours, on call, support requirements of this role (whether remote or on site across 24/7 operations) will be on a rotating roster and additionally compensated by either a further financial contribution or on a time in lieu basis, to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
