Due to continued client growth, a new opportunity now exists for a seasoned Litigation & Commercial Lawyer to join the team on a full time (or part time) basis.

The Job:
Offering the opportunity to play a key role in a busy practice, you will report directly to the Principal (an accredited specialist in commercial litigation) and act on contract and property-related commercial disputes and litigation. Engaging in investigations, researching and drafting advisory and court documents, managing client engagements and supervising and handling new and ongoing files, you’ll have direct client contact and work as part of a dynamic team towards collective success. Maintaining open communication channels, you’ll be a strong advocate for clients and provide high quality client service, and overseeing a broad range of commercial and litigation work, including sale of business transactions, you will provide general business and corporate advice, prepare shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements and more.

Skills Required:
Having gained relevant experience from a similar firm, ideally with 2+ years post admission experience in commercial litigation, commercial law and/ or dispute resolution, you’ll have excellent legal research and drafting skills, exceptional communication and influencing skills, be highly organised and have strong attention to detail. With good time management, you’ll be self directed and able to work independently and maintain carriage of matters from start to finish. With a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for commercial law and litigation, you’ll have a problem solving mindset, strong work ethic, sound commercial acumen, and enjoy dealing with clients face to face. Able to work to deadlines and under pressure, you’ll be proactive, ambitious, skilled in prioritising tasks effectively, and have a desire to be an integral part of a sought after practice that works well together.
