The Job:
Due to strong and consistent client growth and continuous word of mouth referrals, a position has now become available to join the team as Auditor. With 6 in the audit division, and 2 Directors, you’ll be working across a broad range of clients and industries and will oversee the audit process from start to finish. You’ll plan, prepare and execute external audits from end to end, assist with the planning and preparation of an audit engagement, review financial statements and analyse and document internal controls and control environments. Conducting controls testing and standard audit activities, you’ll ensure jobs are completed effectively and in a timely manner, and assist in preparing business reports and management letters for clients, highlighting key audit findings and recommended actions. Reviewing and assessing the accuracy of financial reporting, disclosures, and compliance with accounting principles, you’ll identify discrepancies, irregularities, or areas requiring further investigation. You’ll also provide technical guidance to resolve complex accounting and auditing issues by staying up to date with accounting standards, regulation and industry trends. Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues, you’ll develop your technical and professional skills within a supportive team environment who pride themselves on planning and organisation so the busy season flows as smoothly and as stress free as possible.

Skills Required:
Ideally with at least 1 year external audit experience, you’ll be undertaking or working towards CA or CPA, hold relevant tertiary qualifications and would like to continue to learn and grow your career with a firm long term. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’ll be a team player, self motivated and highly organised with strong attention to detail. Committed, result driven and with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, you’ll be able to work to deadlines, and with an analytical and enquiring mind, you’ll appreciate continuous learning and development. Genuinely enjoying working in the audit space, you’ll also be able to navigate audit software, data analytics tools and financial modelling, and use common accounting software (such as Xero, MYOB and Quickbooks).
