Growing, industry leading and a great business to be a part of, they are now seeking a highly motivated, energetic and experienced people manager to lead one their busiest stores as a Store Manager.

About the Opportunity:
If you are a dynamic and enthusiastic people manager who appreciates excellent customer service and knows how to lead a great crew within a diverse multiservice environment, then this is the role for you. Challenging and fast paced where no two days are the same, you’ll lead and mentor an inclusive team that likes to have fun. You’ll manage all store operations and strategic planning to deliver results and deliver marketing initiatives to maximise sales. Continually striving to be best in class, you’ll directly impact the financial performance of the store through a combination of managing sales performance, effective controls and leading and developing the store team to deliver operational excellence. You’ll maintain high standards across a number of areas and handle a range of retail management responsibilities such maintaining the OH&S standards in and around the store. Monitoring and reporting on sales figures as required, you’ll also be responsible for rostering of staff, ensuring costs are kept within budget. You’ll maintain adequate stock levels on both shop floor and back areas, check deliveries, liaise with third party vendors and communicate effectively with customers, other staff and head office. You’ll also create eye catching displays through effective merchandising and rotation of stock. You’ll inspire your team by leading, coaching and developing them to achieve outstanding results through being passionate, innovative and supportive, and most importantly, you’ll lead from the front and by example. You’ll complete all administration tasks as required and while predominantly a Monday – Friday role, you’ll work on a rotating roster where you will also be required to work every third Saturday (with a day off during the week in lieu).

About You:
Capable, reliable and confident, you are a skilled people manager who can motivate, effectively negotiate, influence, understand and relate well to others. With significant experience in a similar role at Store Manager level, overseeing and organising a large team, you will need to have demonstrable service/ retail/ grocery/ hospitality management experience including managing profit and loss, maximising financial performance and managing health and safety issues. Able to think on your feet and cope well in an environment with competing priorities, you’ll know how to keep calm and organised and act quickly with a clear head when required. You’ll be commercially aware with a strong focus on improving the customer experience within stores and you’ll be a strong leader by developing your team to their full potential while embracing a clear and open communication style. Personable, self motivated and fair, you’ll also understand that this is a hands on role where you’ll often be required to roll up the sleeves and get amongst it with your team, possibly even jumping on to serve customers at the busiest of times, lift heavy objects and be on your feet for prolonged periods of time.
