They work tirelessly to develop new programs, trial new ideas, and pioneer the next generation of disability support providers and a unique and exciting opportunity has now become available for someone to lead the business moving forward as the new Service Manager.
About the Opportunity:
Ensuring the business delivers an exceptional service to all clients and participants, the Service Manager is responsible for the effective operations of the business, including people management, program development and financial profitability. In collaboration with the Company Director, you’ll also drive the development of the business’s service offering for participants across a wide range of activities, programs and environments. Monitoring and developing staff skills to ensure participants meet their expected outcomes, you’ll also be responsible for obtaining feedback from clients and staff, particularly on their views of the current service delivery and increasing opportunities and will prepare reports and recommendations regarding the progress of the service. Responsible for the fiscal management of the business, ensuring budgeting requirements are met, you’ll make decisions and work collaboratively with stakeholders to operate the service profitably and also process the payroll function. Accountable for staff management, mentoring and developing staff skills in the delivery of a person-centered approach, you’ll ensure compliance with the quality management framework, including all policies, procedures and appropriate legislation. This position has face-to-face time with clients, families, employees and participants as well as strategic requirements and you’ll be responsible for resolving and responding to organisational and client needs both strategically and immediately as they occur, while building rapport with clients and families through excellent customer service.
With a commitment to continuous improvement principles, research, education and adherence to the set quality standards, you will have strong experience in the development and delivery of programs for people with disabilities. With demonstrated management and leadership skills, including staff supervision and performance management, you’ll also have skills in mediation and negotiation in addition to collaboration and consultation. With a sound knowledge and understanding of the policy, procedures and standards pertaining to the provision of disability services, you can think innovatively, affect change and shape a positive workplace culture. Personable, positive and passionate about making a difference, you’ll have experience in motivating, developing and guiding direct reports, supporting working relationships and creating flexible, responsive environments. Prior experience working with financial, budgetary or payroll duties is desired and tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, disability or a related field is preferred.
