While they’re a small, passionate team who are focused on meeting customer and business needs, due to persistent demand, we currently have 2 x casual opportunities for a Sandwich Maker/ Kitchen Hand to start immediately.
About the Opportunity:
In one of the casual roles, you would be working 11:00am – 4:00pm Friday – Tuesday each week, and in the other, you would be working 2:30pm – 7:30pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week. Both roles while casual in nature are guaranteed ongoing set hours and have the potential for more hours down the track should it interest. In each role, you’ll work alongside a busy kitchen team preparing sandwiches, sandwich fillings, salads and other food items including wraps, cookies, protein balls etc. You’ll assist Chefs prepare for the day (including cutting, prepping and portioning ingredients), clean down your own area and general kitchen area (including doing the dishes at times) and follow instructions to ensure efficiency and consistency. You’ll restock the service fridge, take inventory and there will also be some packaging and labelling of food products required. These roles are a core function of the business, so our successful candidates will be reliable, efficient, and possess a positive attitude. The kitchen team is hard working but relaxed and fun too. Generous casual award wages on offer for the right applicants.
Physically fit, self motivated and dependable, you’ll have proven experience in a similar role and be able to work effectively, follow instructions and stay focused even when completing repetitive tasks. Hard working and able to think on your feet, you’ll be a strong communicator, be able to work autonomously as well as within a team, and have a positive attitude. You’ll take pride in keeping your workspace clean and have knowledge of food safety regulations and safe OHS work practices. With good attention to detail, you’ll be able to demonstrate initiative, speed and efficiency and be able to manage well during busy periods at times. Friendly, willing to learn and with solid time management skills, you’re able to follow procedures with a high level of accuracy. You’ll also have a Safe Food Handling Certificate and full working rights in Australia.
