About the Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual with a bright personality to join Gartland’s residential property management team. As a Leasing Agent/ Assistant Residential Property Manager, this role is the perfect opportunity to further your career in real estate and develop your skills and experience. Your key responsibilities will include lease negotiations and renewals, inspections, maintenance, rent management, conducting open for inspections and leasing of residential. Primarily responsible for managing the evolving list of residential properties currently available for lease, responding to all incoming prospective tenant enquiries in a timely manner, organising property marketing and facilitating the leasing process from start to finish, you’ll also be responsible for property management across a small portfolio of properties. You’ll develop and manage relationships with owners, tenants and potential tenants, work in a fast-paced environment and negotiate rents and tenancy terms. You’ll also need to accurately process applications including conveying application details and terms to clients and be able to conduct entry and exit reports when needed. A full time position (Monday – Friday), you’ll also work varying times each Saturday in order to conduct the open for inspections required, and sometimes also the odd evening during the week. You’ll then be able to take this time off during the week in lieu. How much (if any) after hours or Saturday work required each week will all depend on how many properties are vacant and for lease across the overall residential portfolio of Gartland at any one time. Accustomed to working autonomously, setting your own schedule and managing your own diary, you’ll be a confident person and particularly across peak busy times, will be able to think quickly and work smartly.
A reliable, focused and committed individual, you have an Agents Representative Certificate and experience in residential leasing. Adaptable, switched on and energetic, you’re a team player and able to accept instructions easily and readily. With exceptional relationship building skills, you’ll also have strong time and organisation management with a high attention to detail. Immaculately presented, with strong an ability to thrive in a fast paced, continually evolving environment, you’ll be dealing with a wide variety of people on a daily basis, and as such you’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll also have a genuine desire to succeed in the real estate industry, be organised, thorough, highly motivated and have a professional manner. Knowledge on current residential market trends would be advantageous.
