The Job:
Playing a key role in leading, shaping and managing the school’s strategic direction, you’ll leverage your experience to encourage innovation and improvement, and lead change development. Collaborating with the wider leadership team, you’ll drive and implement strategies and initiatives that will see the school continue its transformation into a vibrant and innovative learning centre of activity, through business innovation, continuous improvement and sustainable resource management. Overseeing all business and capital works functions (including their financial progress), and responsible for the tender process of capital projects, you’ll ensure risk management systems and reporting procedures are robust and comply with legislative and governance standards. Leading and supporting the finance and property teams, encouraging their capacity building and professional growth, you’ll also chair the OHS Committee, deal with matters relating to insurance and Workcover, and engage in business and professional networks relevant to the role and wider community.

Skills Required:
With significant experience in a similar wide ranging role (experience in a school setting desirable but not mandatory), you are complemented by tertiary qualifications in Commerce or equivalent, with evidence of continuous learning. Entrepreneurial, innovative, and self-motivated, you’ll be solutions focussed and have a strong capacity to manage problems and minimise and mitigate risk. With demonstrated success in leading large scale projects, managing resources and strategic planning implementation and business leadership, you’ll have experience in strategic and master planning for sustainability and financial management and excellent technology skills to create efficiencies. Forward thinking, flexible and with excellent people and communications skills, you’ll be able to lead and influence change across a variety of stakeholders, but also able to be sensitive and compassionate when dealing with difficult situations. CPA/ CA or MBA credentials would be highly regarded.
