Fruition is excited to be partnering with one of Geelong’s leading technology groups who are now seeking a permanent, full time ICT Support Engineer with managed services experience to join their team and support their growing client base.

About the Opportunity:
Dealing directly with clients, internal teams and external stakeholders and providers, this role will require strong people skills, creative thinking and extensive client consulting where you will develop strong relationships and become a trusted and knowledgeable technical advisor to each client with whom you partner. Able to troubleshoot and provide advice on technical infrastructure holistically, you will be responsible for the setup and configuration of various server infrastructure and networking devices. In addition to integrating these new solutions with customer’s existing LAN/ server environments and associated coordination with technical staff and other stakeholders, you will be the subject matter expert in your field and be able to confidently relay information to both the customer (in laymen’s terms if required) and to your internal teams. You’ll be required to have Hyper-V/ VMware experience, experience with Azure and O365, network routing and switching experience and be accustomed to working in Windows Server environments including RDS. Keen to contribute ideas and offer solutions to the wider local and national managed services teams, you will support and positively influence the team by setting a high standard and consistently identify and communicate areas of opportunity for potential investigation by sales. You will also support the migration of customers from current aged environments to new infrastructure/ IaaS platforms/ Azure/ O365s etc and provide third tier support of escalated issues.

About You:
With hands on and proven experience in a similar role, you will have advanced troubleshooting skills, and extensive experience in a Microsoft environment (certifications such as MSCA, MCP, CCNA would be highly regarded). Setting the benchmark and standard for customer support, customer service and technical competence, you’ll have excellent OS and applications diagnostic experience in a domain environment, experience in Microsoft Windows Server 2003/ 2008/ 2012 and above, experience in Exchange 2003/ 2007/ 2010 and above, experience in MS Windows SBS2003/ 2008/ 2011 and above, experience with Dell and HP server hardware and have an ability to fault find and fix server and PC software and hardware issues. With a demonstrated problem solving ability, you’ll have knowledge of the Windows desktop OS, XP through to 8, have knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory and knowledge of Networking, IP addressing and routing. You’ll use initiative in your work, have outstanding customer service and communications skills and be able to work well under pressure. With a high level of independent judgement within established procedures, you’ll also have experience in an environment using tickets to resolve issues and recording work in timesheets. Experience with Citrix (XenDesktop, XenApp etc), VMware Horizon, storage solutions, MS SQL and Amazon web services are desirable, as are any project methodology certifications (such as ITIL foundation or similar).
