An exciting full time opportunity now exists for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team.

About the Culture:
This working environment is one of the best out there. Collaborative, supportive, friendly, trusting and engaging. On one hand the environment is relaxed, casual and down to earth, but on the other, business activity is fast paced and agile with an accompanying growth mindset. Here you’ll find loads of well humoured office banter, open plan stand up desk stations, happy people, the radio on and snacks-a-plenty. They also generously reward and recognise their people and foster an innovative culture focused on fun and high performance. Everyone is respectful and well intentioned, and there is a genuine focus on internal promotion and continuous learning where self improvement and development is both encouraged and celebrated.

About the Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity to be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the General Manager and Managing Director. Providing practical commercial analysis and insights, you’ll take full responsibility for the leadership and strategic management of all financial and commercial aspects of the business, end-to-end. You’ll provide accurate data, forecast, scenario planning and modelling to facilitate effective business decision making, implement continuous improvement in finance and procurement systems and processes, and keep up to date with contemporary best practices and evolving industry standards. Together with the leadership team, you will play an important part in the overall success of the business by managing core accounting functions and services, financial reporting compliance and control, financial planning and analysis and by participating in the strategic management of the business. You’ll clarify financial goals and milestones to meet the strategic plan, guide the leadership team on key contributing factors and leverage meaningful metrics and scorecards to measure financial health and performance. Coaching, nurturing and developing the skillset of team members in the finance team, you’ll provide strong leadership and oversight by ensuring everyone is clear on roles, responsibilities and how their roles make a difference, and you’ll demonstrate and promote the organisational values and behaviours across the team. You’ll also assist and collaborate with operational divisions and functions of the business, provide client insights, effectively manage AP/ AR, process payments and bank reconciliations and prepare and process payroll (<50).

About You:
With proven, hands-on experience in a similar role, you’re self-directed, highly motivated, reliable and adaptable. Though you have a strategic mindset and strong commercial acumen, you’re just as happy rolling your sleeves up and doing the nitty gritty finance tasks, as you are doing the big picture stuff. You enjoy working in a collaborative, team based environment and are genuinely excited and eager to have a seat at the table and contribute your financial advice, insights, analysis and recommendations to complement the overall strategic direction of the organisation. Passionate about fostering a best in class financial function, mentoring and developing others and improving processes and systems, you’re flexible, creative and a problem solver with strong decision making skills for the betterment of business. You have an exceptional attention to detail, are able to foster strong working relationships with various stakeholders, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Please note, experience in an end-to-end Finance Manager role in a small to medium sized business is ideally sought, however we would also consider those from a chartered environment that have had similar experience. Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business or equivalent and full CA or CPA qualifications are preferred.

About the Perks:
This is a rare opportunity to become a key business influencer and apply your finance background to grow a team and a business finance capability. A generous base salary is on offer in line with experience and you’ll enjoy fresh weekly fruit, professional development opportunities, free parking onsite and more.
