Join a growing team, in a new Geelong office (for an established national accounting firm), in a great part time capacity (Mon – Fri school hours), and be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their financial and accounting needs are adhered to while providing outstanding service. With plenty of direct client contact, you’ll be involved in tax planning strategies for clients, and will be preparing all financial reports including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements, reconciliation to budget, capital additions and expenditure. Attending to the preparation of year-end financial data and submissions to government and statutory bodies such as the ATO/ ASIC etc (monthly/ quarterly BAS(s), income tax returns) for a wide range of entity types, you’ll ensure that the workflow of the small team reporting to you is managed and completed to a high standard, and that first class service is provided to all clients. Managing the preparation of month end reconciliations, you’ll ensure that entries are made accurately and on time to meet reporting deadlines, and ensure that your activities comply with legal, professional, and ethical standards. Successfully developing client relationships, you’ll also undertake accounting, taxation and other relevant research when required, and lead others by setting and demonstrating clear direction and modelling best practice.
A highly regarded, family-owned accountancy and business advisory practice with Victorian roots, our client is establishing a presence in the Geelong area off the back of 200 clients already tethered to the new location, and are setting up a brand new office in the CBD. A full service professional services group, with a long term growth strategy, they offer a wide variety of services and are underpinned by a strong regard for values anchoring the way they do business. Committed to expanding their services and nurturing their team, they also support a number of charitable and community based initiatives in the spirit of giving back.
Benefits On Offer:

This position is also part time in nature and only requiring school friendly hours Monday – Friday.
On one hand the environment is relaxed, casual and down to earth, but on the other, business activity is demanding with an accompanying growth mindset. Here you’ll be able to manage your own diary and work autonomously but shoulder to shoulder with other hard working professionals, in a small team, growing with the business as the Geelong office grows. Your opinion and input will be both valued and sought out along this exciting journey.
